Thanks to the guys at Tizeti (Wifi.com.ng’s parent company), corps members in Abuja and Lagos orientation camps are getting free internet accessThey’ll be using their state code numbers and email addresses to login into the network, and will have 24/7 access.

Wifi.com.ng is offering this service for the duration of this present National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) batch whose stay in camp will last from November 24 to December 14, 2016.  The NYSC orientation course marks the beginning of the one year compulsory national service for Nigerian graduates, and usually takes place in designated camp areas across the country.

Speaking about this facility, Tizeti’s Chief Operating Officer, Ifeanyi Okonkwo says, “We wanted to give young people who will be spending 3 weeks in the NYSC orientation camp an opportunity to experience wifi.com.ng’s internet service at high speeds. We’re proud to share that as at this time, over 500 corps members have accessed the service”.

Tizeti is a Lagos-based ISP company that deploys internet access using wi-fi technology. They partner with various upstream bandwidth providers to provide unlimited internet service to residential and small businesses in Nigeria.

I think this is a great move from Tizeti.  Internet access in camp can be a hassle, so having access to free wi-fi wouldn’t hurt.  Hopefully other ISPs can replicate this in the orientation camps in other states
