The Government of Niger will start using drones as a means of surveillance to protect the Addax antelopes in its Termit and Tin Toumma nature reserve, iAfrikan reports. The drones will be used to help monitor not only the endangered addax antelopes, but also the dama gazelle and cheetahs that also roam the park.

MTN Group’s Chief innovation officer Herman Singh could be on his way out, per reports from Techcentral and MyBroadband. There are no speculations on why he could be leaving but there is a lot of talk about MTN’s struggles with regulators in Nigeria which has cut its stock price in half since the beginning of the saga.

Calling all high-growth tech startups operating in Francophone Africa and looking to raise between $250K and $5M, applications are now open for L’Afrique Excelle.
